The Bristol Docker - CONFIRMED TIMINGS
Saturday 4th March, 2017
(revised date - was Saturday 28th January)
A COMPREHENSIVE TOUR OF FREIGHT ONLY LINES AROUND THE PORT OF BRISTOL, PLUS A VISIT INTO A NEW REVERSING FACILITY CLOSE TO THE SHORE OF THE SEVERN ESTUARY.
Join us as we explore a number of secondary and freight routes in the greater Bristol area, including rare locomotive haulage over the Clifton Extension Railway, the Henbury Loop, both terminals at Portbury Dock and an incursion into Avonmouth Docks. The recently built run round facility (built for the new Severnside Energy Recovery Centre traffic), will also feature.
Our special thanks go to the Bristol Port Company for agreeing to this visit. A sizeable donation will be made to their suggested charity to mark our appreciation.
